The Roman baths in Bath ... late afternoon and they had the fires lit round the edge.
Natural hot springs that have been there forever, the Romans built all this around them...as the Romans were fond of doing.
Pigeon not originally roman.... ;)

There is or was ... an odd smell in the 'warm room' down the far end, and they do tell you not to attempt to drink or touch the water (so of course we stuck a finger in hehe) buuuuuuuut there is a fountain which USED to be outside (now inside) where you CAN drink the water... we used to when I was a kid, it was free but I never liked it coz it was warm.......lol now it is inside and they charge 50p !!

Hehe yupper well if you paid the admission fee for the whole place it was free !! otherwise 50p for a drink of warm water from a pretty fountain... the world went crazy !
